The first in our series of 91 PLACES books, PLACES to shop is a guide to independent lifestyle stores across the UK.

Categorised by regions, from South West England to Scotland to across the water in Northern Ireland, 91 Magazine editor Caroline Rowland, selects the best places to shop that are not only independently owned, but beautiful spaces to spend time in, browsing the goods, from homeware and stationery to clothing and kids items.

Independent retail is all about the personal touch, so Caroline shares a snippet of the story behind each shop as well as beautiful images of the shop interiors.

Refer to the book each time you take a trip within the UK to track down the best shops to explore, or it can also be used as a directory for small business owners looking to find some of the best retailers to stock their products.

The book is A5, 208 pages, printed in the UK on uncoated FSC paper with vegetable inks.

How much is home delivery?

• Standard Tracked - FREE for orders over £50  (£4.95 for orders under £40)
• Next Working Day delivery via DPD (UK mainland only)  - £6.95 orders must be placed before 2pm.
• International Delivery - the delivery charge will be calculated in the basket based on the weight of the order.

Standard Tracked are delivered using Royal Mail. 

When will I get my order?

• We aim for orders, that are placed before 2pm, are dispatched the same day Monday - Friday, during peak periods this may be slower. For priority processing select Express.
• Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the following day .
• Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday.
• Orders for Next Working Day delivery via DPD must be placed before 2pm. 
• International orders will be dispatched as above, delivery times will vary dependent on destination.
