Acorn & Pip, 6-7 Carr Lane,
Slaithwaite, HD7 5AN

Since opening our doors in November 2018, we've been devoted to creating a playful retail experience for you and your loved ones. We know that shopping can be hard—it's not just about what you're buying, but how you're feeling when you do it. That's why our team is on hand every day to help you find the perfect gift for anyone on your list, whether it's a new mum or a crafty 5 year old. We want to make sure everyone in your life feels special, and we work hard every day to make sure that happens!

Whether you’re shopping for the perfect new baby gift, or even picking a little something up for yourself, our eye for quality ensures our toys, clothing, gifts and homewares are carefully curated with kids and family in mind.

We are passionate about providing a space where the entire family can reconnect, shop, eat, drink, play and make mischief.

When you get here

We want all our guests to feel at home when they are with us, so whether you are shopping or stopping for a coffee and cake, you are welcome! Guests can make use of the sanitiser around the shop and upon entry whilst they browse and enjoy our space at their leisure.

Little ones & play

Our aim is to create an easy, relaxed, safe and fun experience for our guests. We offer toys and colouring activities for children to play with at the table. Pram parking and a baby changing area with spare nappies and wet wipes are provided. Children must be supervised and kept close by at all times.

Visiting us by train

Slaithwaite train station is less than a 5 minute walk to our shop. We’re situated on the lines between Manchester, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Visiting us by car

We are ideally positioned off of the M62 motorway, meaning that you can leave the mayhem of traffic behind you and wind down the hills into our gorgeous village. There is plenty of parking around the shop. New Street Car park offers all day free parking and nearby Bridge Street (running adjacent to the canal) is unrestricted. Aldi car park allows 3 hours free parking. There is also free on-street parking available around the village for one hour. Our shop postcode is HD7 5AN.

There are a few local buses that drop down into Slaithwaite and our shop is located by two main bus stops. Popular bus routes are: 394, 184. Other services include: 181, 183, 185, 395.

It’s a village thing

We’re really lucky to have some amazing local businesses in and around the village that are great for the whole family.
