The Archivist journey began in 1998 down in the archives of the Natural History Museum and is an element of our past that we are incredibly proud to celebrate. In 2025, we pay homage to this crucial part of our beginnings by releasing a range of matchbox designs that have been made in collaboration with the Natural History Museum.
- The Golden-eye Duck' by John J. Aududon. The culmination of over 12 years of work, The Birds of America is a masterpiece that features some of the most stunning bird paintings of all time. One of the most valuable natural history books ever published, it shows birds in natural positions and native habitats. Using a variety of materials to create highly dramatic style, the book features almost 500 species and Audubon is considered one of the greatest bird artists of all time.

How much is home delivery?
- Standard Tracked - FREE for orders over £50 (£4.95 for orders under £50)
- Next Working Day delivery via DPD (UK mainland only) - £6.95 orders must be placed before 2pm.
- International Delivery - the delivery charge will be calculated in the basket based on the weight of the order.
Standard Tracked are delivered using Royal Mail.
When will I get my order?
- We aim for orders, that are placed before 2pm, are dispatched the same day Monday - Friday, during peak periods this may be slower. For priority processing select Express.
- Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the following day .
- Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday will be dispatched the following Monday.
- Orders for Next Working Day delivery via DPD must be placed before 2pm.
- International orders will be dispatched as above, delivery times will vary dependent on destination.
